Cari Lliwen

I’m a first‑language Welsh speaker from north Wales and a creative designer with a strong track record in delivering bilingual campaigns. Collaboration is at the heart of how I work, and I’m always exploring fresh, innovative ideas that push a project further. I take pride in a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring every piece of work is crafted to a high standard and contributes to engaging, meaningful campaigns.

Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and Illustration from Liverpool School of Art I have worked as a graphic designer in Cardiff. I started my career at Asbri Golf and in 2020 I joined Cardiff Students’ Union as an in-house graphic designer. There I played a key role in its re-brand.

Currently I work at Cowshed Communications which is a fast paced creative agency producing high quality work for a range of different clients, including phs, BAFTA Cymru, National Adoption Service and Visit Wales. I have a passion for brand identity, campaign design and typography and grasp at any opportunity to work with bold colours.

Outside of design, I enjoy crafting and have turned my hand to various skills including pottery, sewing, and knitting. I am particularly proud of my hand-crafted ceramic bowls, and numerous upcycled clothing items. A crotched chequered handbag will be added to the list in the near future.
